Uttar Pradesh, known for its traditions, features a lot of places of religious and historical importance. The state is also known for its cultural centres through which flows the sacred River Ganges, where the World’s one of the seven wonders Taj Mahal is situated, where India’s holiest city of Varanasi is famous all over the world. Some of the main tourist spots in Uttar Pradesh are Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Mathura, Lumbini, Sarnath, Allahabad, Ayodhya, Balrampur, Faizabad, Gorakhpur, Jaunpur, Kanpur, Kapilvastu, Kushinagar, Lucknow, Meerut, Shravasti, Varanasi and Vrindavan.
