Orissa has several popular tourist destinations with its extensive palm fringed coast-line running to 482 kms. serene holiday beaches, pronounced rural environs, charming blue hills rising here and there abruptly from the plains and the plateau, green wood-lands, rock caves, fascinatingly sculptured temples like Jagannath, Konark, Lingaraj etc. and other monuments, picturesque mud villages set in greens, colorful and gay tribals and so rich and varied handicrafts make Orissa a miniature India. In addition to the above mentioned tourist attractions there are many other popular spots in Orissa like Bhubaneswar, Konark, Puri, Udaigiri, Ratnagiri, Khandagiri Caves, Dhauli Hill and Chilka Lake.
